Mission Statement
The Building Department administers and enforces The Code of the Village of Washingtonville and The New York State Uniform Fire Prevention & Building Code. These codes pertain to the location, zoning, design, construction, alteration, demolition, materials, maintenance, fire safety, and occupancy of structures and property in the Village of Washingtonville.

Hello village residents. If you are a homeowner, are your certificates of occupancy/compliance in order? Do you have any outstanding building permits? Outstanding issues will eventually catch up to you, and will be a nuisance especially if you are trying to refinance or sell your home. If you are not sure, give the Building Department a call. We will do our best to help you resolve any outstanding issues.
